Apart from fulfilling its statutory tasks, the Foreign Intelligence Agency is involved in the following fields of social activity:
Educational-historic activity
Cooperation with educational institutions – talks, lectures, online lectures, webinars
The Foreign Intelligence Agency, intending to broaden the scope of its activities, develops the educational aspect of its mission through maintaining good relations with Polish universities, participation in lectures, talks and meetings with students. During these events the representatives of the Foreign Intelligence Agency present the principles of operation of the civilian intelligence, its place in the structures of state administration and address the current issues related to the international situation. Moreover The Foreign Intelligence Agency posts educational materials to social media.
Contests and competitions
In order to activate various social groups, the Foreign Intelligence Agency organises several contests and competitions like for example Capture the Flag (CTF), which allow the participants to test their skills in various fields. The Agency also contributes to the promotion of issues related to state security through its involvement in the Defence and Security Knowledge Contest.
“Trail of the Wolf” Run
Once a year the Foreign Intelligence Agency organises “Trail of the Wolf” Run which is devoted to the remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers. Officers of various Polish special services compete for the Cup founded by the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency.
Publications
The Foreign Intelligence Agency participates in promoting Polish culture by popularising the history of Polish intelligence.
Cooperation with the Office of the “Niepodległa” Program
The Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency and the Director of the Office of the “Niepodległa” Program signed a letter of intent, which initiated cooperation between both institutions in 2020. The result of this cooperation was commemoration of Polish cryptologist, Lt. Col. Jan Kowalewski.
Charitable activity
The Foreign Intelligence Agency is an official partner of “Dorastaj z Nami (Grow Up with Us)” Foundation
The Foreign Intelligence Agency supports children assisted by “Dorastaj z Nami (Grow Up with Us)” Foundation. The charity organisation provides psychological care for children of public officials who lost their lives serving the Republic of Poland.
The Agency supports the Foundation financially. Moreover, the Agency employees take part in charity events organised for the Foundation. They participate in fundraising actions using their skills and professional experience acquired during service.
