These pages contain, among other things, information related to the Agency, its tasks, powers, structure, the conditions of service and the principles of admission to the Agency as well as the provisions regulating the operations of the Agency. Obviously, the available information is unclassified.
Our service is trying, similarly to many other contemporary, also foreign intelligences to incorporate naturally and effectively into the democratic structures of the modern civil society. This purpose is served by greater transparency, within the scope not infringing on the interests of the state's security or the fundamental principles of the operations of the intelligence service. The aforementioned principles include: the absolute protection of sources, personnel, property, means and operations of the Agency.
We understand that in order to take the optimal decision it is important to ensure access to information, which is what our mission serves to, with reference to the highest state authority organs of the Republic of Poland. Therefore, we believe that facilitating access to our Agency will materially help, also us, in receiving assistance from national natural persons and legal persons in carrying out our tasks, undertaken to protect the state's external security, which is regulated by the Act.
Undoubtedly, an inquiring Recipient could also find the released information, in large measure giving an account of the current legal situation, on other websites or in traditional publications. Our goal has been to gather and organize information, for the Recipient's convenience, taking into consideration the provisions on access to public information. This website may be developed in the future, according to the current experience of the Foreign Intelligence Agency, but also depending on your interest and highlighted needs.
We would like to inform you that based on the art. 14 section 1 Act of 24 May 2002 on the Internal Security Agency and the Foreign Intelligence Agency the Prime Minister appointed on 19 February 2016 Col. Grzegorz Małecki to the post of Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency.
We would like to inform you that on 27 November 2015 the Prime Minister dismissed Col. Marek Stępień and Col. Paweł Woźniak from their posts as Deputy Heads of the Foreign Intelligence Agency.
We would like to inform you that on 8 December 2015 the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Piotr Krawczyk to the post of Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency.
The Foreign Intelligence Agency announces that on September 27th 2016 the Polish Prime Minister, Mrs Beata Szydło, accepted Colonel Grzegorz Małecki's resignation as the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency. At the same time, she entrusted the Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency, Mr. Piotr Krawczyk, with the responsibilities of the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency.
The Foreign Intelligence Agency announces that on October 7th 2016 the Polish Prime Minister, Mrs Beata Szydło, nominated Lt. Col. Dominik Duda to the post of Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency.
The Foreign Intelligence Agency announces that on 28th December 2016 the President of the Council of Ministers, Mrs Beata Szydło, appointed Mr. Piotr Krawczyk to the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Poland.
